A French Classic! А dessert recipe that is so simple and still so delicious and gracious (if you can use that word for a dessert). It takes you to France with every bite.
Ingredients:
For the crepes
- 3 eggs
- 15 tbs flour
- some oil
- 1 cup of milk
- some vanilla
- some salt
- some sugar
- some water
For the sauce
- orange zest
- orange juice
- 100 grams sugar
- 40 grams butter
- 20 ml champagne (or white wine)
- 40 ml amaretto
You make the crepes the usual way. Beat the eggs and gradually add the flour and all the other ingredients. Beat everything well. Fry the crepes on one side and flip.
Put the butter in a pan and when it melts add the orange zest and gradually add the sugar. Pour the orange juice whisking constantly and bring it to boil. Put 6-8 crepes in the sauce and cover with the champagne and the amaretto. Cook on medium heat for few more minutes. You can flambe them if you like.
Dust each crepe with powder sugar and serve them with some white wine.
