Rainbow Smoothie

I've always wanted to try one of those smoothies in different colors. This is not a recipe from my Granddad's book, of course. It's easier than you think and it looks pretty and it's delicious too.


Ingredients (for three servings):

  • 2 apples
  • 1 banana
  • juice from one lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 cups water
  • juice from one orange
  • two carrots
  • some aronia
  • 4 kiwi
  • some spinach

I first made the basic mixture. I added the banana, apples, lemon juice and honey in the blender with three cups of water. I put it aside.
For the purple part, I put one third of the mixture in the blender and added some aronia berries.
For the green part, the second third of the banana mixture plus the kiwi and the spinach.
For the orange part I added the orange juice and the carrots.
As simple as that. And it's one healthy and pretty meal :)
Pour it slowly in the glass so you won't get the colors mixed, but even if you do the taste is perfect.
