You either like ginger or you can't stand it. I love it! This is a drink for people who like the smell and taste of ginger. It's refreshing and healthy and very easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup ginger (shredded)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- juice from one lemon
- soda (sparkling water) for mixing
First you take the ginger, water and sugar and heat it until the sugar is completely dissolved. You bring it almost to boil. You set it aside to cool.
After it is cooled you add the lemon juice. Then you pour a syrup through a strainer and you press to get the juice out of the mixture.
You can place the syrup in a jar or bottle. It can last for a week in the fridge.
Pour 4-6 tablespoons of the syrup in a glass and fill the glass with sparkling water, and enjoy :)
