Whenever I make one of the recipes from my Granddad's Cookbook I get especially nervous. My Granddad marked this cake in the book as one of his favorite, so the pressure was bigger. When it comes to really good cakes there are no shortcuts, I can even say that the more complicated the cake is the tastier it is. I am pretty satisfied with how this cake turned out. It doesn't look perfect but it was delicious. Make this cake when you have enough time to enjoy making it.
